Border Lakes Region 2 is offering an opportunity for choruses or quartets to apply for a grant to host an educational event!

Grant Application Explanation and Directions:

This grant application is for a day long seminar utilizing International level faculty or coaches!

The morning half the day would be dedicated to teaching attendees and the afternoon half of the day for coaching the host chorus or quartet.

To the group awarded the grant, the Border Lakes Region 2 Management Team will supply a grant to cover the cost of the event up to a maximum of $1500.00. 50% of the grant would be supplied upon acceptance and 50% once the final report and budget has been submitted.

Both quartets and choruses may submit requests for this grant.

The chorus or quartet awarded with the grant will be responsible for:
*Securing the facilities that seat at least 150 people.
*Hiring the faculty.
*Creating a schedule of events and choosing the curriculum.
*Housing and Transportation for the faculty.
*Registration for the event.
*Lunch options.
*Allowing attendees to observe the coaching session.

*Creating and submitting a proposed budget.

*Setting an event fee for no more than $10.00

*Being aware of other Regional events and avoiding those weekends.

*Supplying the grant.
*Advertising the event through internal media (ie: email to choruses, Regional website, Regional Facebook page).
*Supplying funding for the event up to $1500.00
*Supplying an evaluation form for attendees.
*Giving assistance, training, and education to the Chorus or Quartet hosting the event, as needed, with regards to creating this event.
